Resolved Question: Can I ride my Dirt bike on the side of the road?

I'm moving to Medford, Oregon in about three weeks and I already have my safety certification card. The John's Peak OHV area is only 5.6 miles away from my new house and I want to know If I can ride my dirt bike on the side of the road. My bike has mirrors, a headlight, a taillight, and a speedometer. I don't want to hear any of that "You can only ride on private land" crap because the OHV area is obviously public land....
